About

A different view, finally in tune

Raphael Bexx has stood on many stages, teaching as a mathematician, performing as a musician. And yet something was always missing. He kept seeing things from an angle nobody around him quite shared. That angle has now found its form: one holistic body of work in which music, rhythm, science and healing are no longer separate things.

Piano and bass came first. Then, one by one, instruments from all around the world, and with every instrument he learned, a piece of himself healed along the way. Everything he releases is organic and handplayed: no samples, no sequencing, no machines.

Together with Dr. Roy Martina, Trinity Aurora and Cécilia Girard he develops new sound and healing techniques within the NEWNEI™ method, the four of them working closely as one team, including on ways to move past the technical and physical limits we hit when learning an instrument.

Raphael lives with synesthesia: sound, color, feeling and numbers arrive as one single perception, all intertwined. It looks playful from the outside, and it is. But it runs deeper: it gives him uncommon insight into music, into people, into the patterns beneath things, a completely different perspective on everything.
